There are some products you create because you notice a gap in the market. And then there are products you create because you simply wish they existed.

Loumière Élixir was born from the latter.

As someone who struggled to find the perfect fragrance — one that felt comfortable on my skin and didn't seem to disappear within minutes — I started looking at what happens before fragrance is applied.

I've seen countless fragrance layering hacks using products such as Vaseline, body creams and even makeup primers. These can all have their place when it comes to creating a moisturised base for fragrance.

But I wanted something different.

Something created specifically with fragrance layering and skin feel in mind.

Our everyday routine is often simple:

Shower → Lotion → Body Mist → Perfume

But the type of product you apply before fragrance can make a difference to how your skin feels and how fragrance develops on it.

01 — LIGHTWEIGHT EMOLLIENCE

Not every moisturiser makes an ideal fragrance base.

Rich creams and body butters are designed to provide a more substantial moisturising experience, while some silicone-based formulas are designed to create a smooth, silky film on the skin.

Loumière Élixir takes a different approach: a lightweight blend of emollients selected for their elegant skin feel.

The result is a silky base that conditions the skin without the heavy, buttery feel of a traditional body butter.

02 — INSPIRED BY YOUR SKIN

One of our key ingredients is sugarcane-derived squalane.

Squalane is a stable emollient with a structure similar to squalene, a lipid naturally found in human sebum. It gives Loumière Élixir its characteristic silky, lightweight feel while helping to soften and condition the skin.

Alongside jojoba and meadowfoam seed oil, it forms part of a carefully balanced oil phase designed to feel comfortable on the skin.

03 — SILKY, NOT HEAVY

We've paired our oils with lightweight esters including EcoSilk (Isoamyl Laurate) and Coco-Caprylate/Caprate.

These help create the smooth, elegant slip you want from a luxury body product, without leaving the skin feeling excessively oily or heavily coated.
